We have secured full planning permission for a bespoke contemporary dwelling in the countryside village of Oxenton, Gloucestershire. 

This was a heavily constrained site; outside a settlement boundary, within the Cotswolds National Landscape, adjacent to a Conservation Area and with listed buildings neighbouring the site on three sides. 

However, we were able to convince the local planning authority to support the proposal, having regard to their village infill policy, which supports small-scale growth in the rural villages of Tewkesbury Borough. 

To overcome the other constraints, it required a high-quality design response, with a great deal of care paid towards size, scale, design concept, materials and landscaping.  Here we utilised a contemporary design approach, whilst using traditional proportions and materials. This way we were able to ensure minimal impact on the landscape setting, whilst providing the client with the living space required to meet their family needs. 

Work has started on this site in early 2026, and we look forward to seeing it fully built out.

Whilst we often work on larger developments, it is highly satisfying to deliver the smaller one-off luxury homes for private clients too. This one was particularly pleasing, given the initial cautiousness from the local authority, to turn this in to a scheme that they were happy to support. We look forward to seeing this bespoke development built out by our client, who will no doubt make it an amazing home for him and his family.
