Land at Ryde
Acting as lead consultant alongside Hinton Properties Ltd, we successfully secured planning permission for a new Aldi supermarket in Ryde, Isle of Wight. The scheme involved the redevelopment of an underutilised site, requiring careful consideration of highways impacts, access arrangements, visual appearance and relationships with surrounding land uses.
Through ongoing engagement with the Local Planning Authority and statutory consultees, we addressed key technical and planning matters, with a strong focus on demonstrating economic and community benefits. The approved development includes demolition of the existing building, erection of a new Aldi unit (Use Class E(a)), new access and egress onto Brading Road, 12 EV charging spaces, parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure works.
