Project

Cotteswold Dairy

Redevelopment

Zesta helped secure planning permission for the erection of new buildings to create a further 8,000sq m for Cotteswold Dairy Estate to expand milk production of more than 77 million litres a year to as much as 250 million litres.

To achieve this growth, the dairy required a complete redevelopment of its existing site due to the existing inefficient and ineffective use of space. The dairy identified its current landholding at Newtown as the right location for its operations and it is important for Tewkesbury that this major local employer is retained in the Town.

As a result, the scheme would involve significant investment over the next 10 to 15 years. In granting permission, the project has helped secure long-term independence and sustainable growth of the company, provide improved staff welfare facilities and safeguard existing jobs, as well as potential new job creation in the future.
