Apartment Rejuvenation Approval
On behalf of private clients, and working closely with Forde Architecture (Denise Gooding), we are delighted to confirm that we have secured planning permission for the extension and remodelling of a block of flats in Cheltenham.The existing building was in a poor state of repair and urgently needed a new roof. We were appointed by our client to devise a remodelling proposal that would increase the yield from their investment to enable the repairs to be made.We devised a plan to extend the front of the building to create a contemporary facade design and in the process helped to deliver an additional apartment for the block. The whole roof will be replaced in the process.This project evolved through initial pre-application discussions with the Council, to a planning application which was determined on time by officers and without any objections. Once again, we find ourselves thanking the planning officers at Cheltenham Borough Council for the smooth operation of the whole process from pre-application to decision. We know how much pressure planning departments are under at the present time, so we’re always happy to give credit where it’s due!
